Hello gang, hope you are all having a great week. I am typing this on Tuesday as I have an early doctor appointment tomorrow morning, only the third one this week. Dr. is doing some tests on me.
Last Saturday I attended another technique class with Joey Long of Keeton's Art and Office Supplies. I have laid out 5 of the projects that have not been put to use yet. The butterfly on the black background was done on vellum with white embossing powder and colored with Twinkling H2Os, so you cannot really see the color as it is so pastel, but very pretty in reality. Did the tag with a background lined stamp and Tim's Distress Inks (sorry don't know which ones), but I like the way it came out and I may use the vellum butterfly on it with a saying stamp at the bottom. The top butterfly was stamped with embossing power on the page of an old book and colored with my colored pencils. The next one is a chunky piece with several layers of embossing power and then stamped and sprinkled with various powders, mica flakes, etc., my first experience with that technique. The last piece was stamped in gold and colored with the H2Os. Hard to see that I colored it purple. We had another project using some mica powder and I did not like working with them at all, project looked terrible so I ditched it. Well better not go on too long here. Thanks to all that may drop by.

Wow, Jan, those butterflies are absolutely gorgeous! Amazing how different they look, with the different techniques. I love trying out new things and experimenting.

Thanks for visiting. Yes, the Dylusions inks are pretty new (last year, I think) - but spreading fast because they are gorgeous! More fun than you'd think possible!

Wanted to stop by and say hello and to thank you for your lovely comment on my blog. It was so appreciated. Thanks for checking up on me. Best, Curt
That's really cool to see how the same stamp can look so different depending on the paper and the techniques used! Hope your Doctor's tests turn out well! Thanks for stopping by my blog today, I'm a native Floridian and have gone through a couple of hurricanes down there, always watchful of storms! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)
