WOYWW-90

Oh heck! It is 10:10 a.m. and I forgot about my post for WOYWW again. So here I am trying to get it together, some what. I am still working on cards to sell at the end of March for the Parrish Heritage Day Festival. This is a very, very old small town in Florida and it is just 3 miles from my home. When I see some of your sites and the boxes of cards you have made it makes my pathetic attempt a big joke. Oh well, work with what you have and what you can do I guess. I am currently working on two birthday cards, they are not finished, still thinking about how I want to finish them off. I have two sorority sisters with birthdays, one on Feb. 27 and the other is Mar. 2. The cat is a Penny Black and the girls I believe are Stampin' Up stamps. I still have not mastered getting my pics to come up on my blog where I want them.
My grandson, who has returned from his latest deployment has e-mailed me that Lifetime TV came on board ship as they were returning and interviewed some of the crew and filmed the homecoming to their loved ones. They had just returned from a deployment and within about a month to 6 weeks were sent out again. Anyway the ship is the USS Harry S. Truman CVM75, an aircraft carrier and it is to be aired on March 6 at 10:00 p.m., Eastern time in the United States. So I am looking forward to watching it. My sorority chapter is in the final planning stages of our "Weekend Getaway" for May 20. We have decided to stay close to home because of the gas prices and only having three days. We do not want to spend all of our time on traveling, so we are just going about a 45 minute drive up the coast to Passa Grille (Enfys you should be familiar with this area, I think). We are staying at a small motel facing the Gulf and there are little shops and restaurants within walking distance. Then my girlfriend and I are hoping to book a cruise for 2012 and begin making payments on the booking so it is all paid by the time we board the ship. Who knows what will be happening by August 2012, but that is our plan. Well that is probably more than you wanted to know and so I will get off here and on to my day. Have a great week.

WHAT HAPPENED TO SPRING & SUMMER

Well my gosh, I did get a new header and background but I seem to have skipped Spring and Summer in doing so. I was just so happy to finally get a new one on here I have just left it for now, or maybe I will be lazy and leave it until Fall. Really I did not find one for Spring or Summer through these designs, so I don't know if there are none or I just didn't dig deep enough. Another beautiful day here in Florida.

Looking forward to our "Girls Weekend Getaway" for this year. We are in the planning stages and are about ready to make our reservations. Waaahooo!!

Off to do something, hope to see you tomorrow on WOYWW.

WHAT A MESS!

Tried changing my blog background, etc, but as you can see I got part on and the winter things are still there. I am stumped right now as to what went wrong. Will keep frustrating myself until I get it solved.

TAKING A BREAK

Hi friends! I am taking a break due to other things going on in my life right now. For instance a new little wrinkle. Yesterday while reviewing my checking account I found a Hold on it for $93.30 made on the 25th. WHAAAT?? Called the bank immediately and found that a charge had been made on my debit card for this amount at a jewelry store ( who can afford a jewelry store?) not me, in a small town between Rt. 19 and Rt. 75 in Florida. It is north of Tampa. Not roads I do any traveling, except on rare occasions and certainly not on the 25th. She finally transferred me and we went over it all again. Ascertaining that I had not lost my card, only had one card and I was holding it my hand at that time, no one has access but me, I may let one grandson go into buy cigs or gas, but I am there in the car. Card comes out of billfold, into store, back into billfold. Gosh he can't go into the store and walk 10 ft. without coming back out to say "what's your pin AGAIN". Well I know it isn't anyone I know. Then I was transferred to the Fraud Dept., etc., etc. They found it had been a signature buy, which means the person had to have a card AND sign. So they believe at this time someone has a phony card. So I am seriously rethinking about using my debit card once this is cleared up. This one was cancelled immediately by the Fraud Dept. and a new one being issued.

The only way someone could have gotten my card number - a restaurant worker, gas station, convenient store by swiping it or writing it down or keeping a carbon of the bill. So enough. It is so very sad to think there are so many people out there that haven't a care as to who they use. This may cause some financial problems for me and believe me I can create my own, I do not need any help. LOL So I am focused on this and a couple of other things right now. Keep yourselves safe and happy until I return.

WOYWW - 2011 - #83

Good morning to those of you in my part of the world and to those of you that are well into your day already, I hope you are having a great day. Well as you can see my table is a tad messed up today with my working on my grandson's Navy deployment pictures, from 2 yrs. ago. He just returned from 2nd. deployment and will be home on leave next week.
His brother is flying to Norfolk on Friday morning to spend a couple of days and will then drive back with him. On New Year's Eve as #2 grandson was riding his bike home from work in the wee hours of the morning his billfold popped out of his pocket (unknown at the time) and he has looked for it for a few days and no find. So since he now had NONE of the I.D.'s and no social security card we spent a lot of time trying to gather up the documents he needed to get them replaced. (what a totally and frustrating system we have to do this, it is all a Catch 22. If you don't have this you can't get your I.D./driver's license and if you don't have that you can't get a replacement social security card). We finally got it all together, we hoped and off we went yesterday to get it all done. What a mission! Tried to be first in line so we started out early and went to the closest office, WHAT THEY MOVED!! So off we go to the next office, changed opening hours, went to the next one not open yet either. Finally got one that was open and since we had not yet been to social security yet we could not get the I.D. So off we go now to SSA office, mind you we are driving in huge circles all over the county. Social Security Office is packed as usual. He sees how many people and says I'm going home and call and make an appointment for Thursday. I said,"oh no you aren't. We have been at this for 3 hrs. and we are doing it today. If you wait until Thursday and there is a problem you will not have time to straighten it out and fly out on Friday morning. Fortunately they were moving pretty fast and we only had to wait 20 minutes, it is usually about a 2 hr. wait for your turn. Ok we got the SS letter. Off we go to the DMV-Tax Collector Office (easier to get these things there then going to the actual DVM). So we go to the closest, ooops we have to go get his Dad to sign a proof of residency letter. Now back to one of the offices and it is packed by now. Waited about half an hour and got the I.D. Well no matter where you want to go in Florida you are never near it!!! And the number of stop lights is disgusting!! That is where all my gas goes. Well it only took us 6 hours to get this all done. If he ever loses again.........
Well if you made it through all of that thanks! Well now Friday I get to take him to Tamps International and I hate driving there. I always miss the proper turns and end up driving around the entire terminal(s) about 3 times before I get it right and the cars behind you don't care that you are freaking out, they are right on your rear end. So wish me luck! Well I guess that is enough ranting for the week.
If you want to see some other nifty work desks drop over to see the list of us having fun peeking at Julia's blog, http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/. I did make it to everyone last week, but as usual could not get a comment left on just a handful, it's word verification problems. Hope you all have a great week! And a big thank you to Spyder who explained how to resize her digi's!!!
