COMMENTS?
I am so sorry everyone, but I am having a serious problem when trying to leave comments! I do not understand why when I go to publish the comment it just disappears. I have tried various ways of getting it to take. I am going to give up and will not try to comment, just know that I am looking at your handy work.

WOYWW - #121
My goodness I have not posted since the beginning of August! Where does the time go? It is Wednesday once again and time for our crafty trip around the world. If you have happened upon me and do not know about this trip you need to start with our lovely leaders blog. http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/
Am being forced into doing the rounds of some of my doctors. I am not one for visiting their offices, unless I am really sick; and this does not make them too happy. So he "drew blood", set an appointment for a bone density test and gave me a prescription, and sending me to hospital for another wonderful reflux test to make sure I have no tumor(s). Well at least it will get me out of the house, LOL.
I am posting a couple of cards, one for birthday and one of Halloween card. I cased the hat and using one of them for a Halloween party invitation. Other then that I have been pretty much stuck at home due to price of gas, etc. So I fill my time with crafts, TV, and reading. Hope you all have a great week and I will visit, but may not be able to leave a comment. Hugs to all.

COMMENT SECTION
It appears that people are unable to use the comment line for the WOYWW post. I did change the background/heading today, but it has never been affected before when making a change. I took a quick look at some of my settings, but do not know what has happened. It is late and I need to go to bed, so will try and fix tomorrow. So sorry! Well shoot, I just checked this post and the comment section came right up, but yesterdays does not. So if you want to leave a comment you can leave it on this one. Thanks

WOYWW - 113
Good morning all. Has been awhile since I posted, but I have been bouncing around your blogs. Not leaving many comments as my compter is really messing up a lot of things lately. This is a bit of a mess as I am again working on putting another Family History book together for my other granddaughter. I left it sit for a few days and now I have let myself get all confused with the order of things. On the chair are some Halloween (oh no they say)papers. I made two cards I cased from CARD MAKING (I think) MAGAZINE. When I actually post I will acknowledge the proper designer. I will be using one as a sorority party invitation and the other to a blogging buddy. Going to make this short since I don't know when my compter will do some goofy thing. I leave you with a Florida sunset, which will probably head up to the beginning of this post instead of where I put the cursor. Be checking on you.

BLOG CANDY
If you haven't been to Enfys blog you need to go there right now as she has a new Cricuit Cartridge and Promarkers as blog candy. The drawing will be on July 23rd. So get your name in the mix if you are interested.
She has the sweetest card and image posted. I LOVE it. Reminds me of the advertisements that used to be made of babies and small children in the 1940's here in the USA.
Congratulations to her on her 1000 posts!!

WOYWW - 107
Hi everyone, finally back to get in on WOYWW. For those of you who do no know about WOYWW itis a fun blog day where anyone wishing to participate can go to Julia's blog (http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com) and show a picture of their work surface with whatever they may be currently working . I have not been on for a couple of weeks as I have been working on my family history again. I have a granddaughter who is having her 20th birthday party this Sunday (and the other gd. turned 20 in May), so I am putting together all the family history I have gathered through the years. I have traced my origins on both sides of my parents back to Ireland and Scotland. I am still in search of where John Hill originated. I thought Ireland, but cannot prove it yet. Anyway here is my table with most of the paperwork and books, there is more scattered about. Last night I had to walk away from it since after awhile of looking at it it seems to get confusing. So until next week, I wish for all of you a great and happy week.

WOYWW - #105
Good morning everyone. It's been awhile since I participated on WOYWW, you know how sometimes life just takes over for a bit. I have been moving around and checking everyone out, just not taking a lot of time to leave comments. If you have stumbled upon my blog and do not know what WOYWW is all about need to check out Julia's blog, http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/ On Wednesdays we all show pictures of the various stages and workings of our desks. It is awesome to see how these crafters from around the world work, organize, etc. each week.
I am sorry to say I was unable to participate in the 2nd. Anniversary event, but am looking forward to see what everyone made and exchanged with their partner.
This is my dinning room table and I am beginning to bring out different supplies for my monthly sorority meeting on Thursday. We hope to have enough time to get some more cards made for Operation Write Home. I have some images already colored for those that think they have no talent at all and would rather just put the cards together. Silly gals! I also have the cards cut and folded for them and some images for those that want to color and do the whole thing from beginning to end. No matter the level we always seem to get a lovely stack of cards made and sent off. Have a great week and I will visit as many as I can get to this weekend.
Iam happy to report my friends were not affected by the terrible tornados. They got wind and rain but were on the southern edge of the storms.
I am back in here AGAIN, trying to correct this posting. Don't know what is going on with it, hope it is blogger and not my computer.

DEVASTATING TORNADOES & PASSA GRILLE
Well our Girls' Annual Weekend Getaway if now but a memory, but what a great time we had during those 2 1/2 days. We stayed at a cottage in Passa Grille and walked about 1/2 block to the beach (Gulf of Mexico). The weather was great and of course, our trips always are mostly shopping and eating and eating and eating. Due to financial conditions this year we didn't do much extra things. Most of our money went for eating, so much more expensive this year! We stayed at the southern tip of the island which is mostly residential with rentals and some small hotels. It was SOOOO quiet, just what we needed as the gals still working have very stressful jobs. We are discussing a 3 day cruise out of Florida for next year. A cruise for me is the only way to go, but I personally prefer a 7 day cruise. You board put your clothes, etc. away and you are ready to go. No packing up every day and moving on to the next place. You can go on side trips if you want and everything is taken care of for you. No driving and all that goes with it. I love cruises.
Moving on we are awaiting word from my girlfriend's brother and wife who live in Cassville, Missouri just south of where the tornado hit Joplin, Missouri and has wiped out much of the town. Hopefully she will hear from them today, but at this very moment a new storm is heading towards Joplin once again. It is suppose to be severe. I have always wanted to be a Red Cross responder and I checked into it once I retired and found that you have to have your own money for food, etc. when you respond to a disaster and sometimes your team has to provide theis own transportation to the scene. Well anyway that sort of took that dream away from me. I know many of you are wonderig whey someone would want to go into a disaster area to help. Well my whole life has pretty much been as a caretaker for someone and I guess part of that is a situation where I was the only one that could do the caretaking and taking care of people is something within me, or I am justy crazy. LOL Hope everyone is well and happy and have a wonderful week and a safe Memorial Day Weekend for those of you in that good ole USA.

WOYWW - #97
Hello fellow crafters and bloggers. My gosh it is Wednesday once again. Is time moving faster or is it me? For those that wonder what WOYWW is all about should go to Julia's blog, http://www.stampinground.blogspot.com/ You get a chance to check out what all the crafters have been working on since last Wednesday. We post pictures of our work on our blog and then we follow Julia's list and try and check out as many desks as we can get done. You don't have to do them all. Just take your time and enjoy and gather ideas. I am still working on my quilt as shown last week. Tomorrow Jennifer and I are suppose to drive to Passa Grille and make reservation for our sorority chapter's Annual Weekend Getaway, but we may have waited too long. They have a LOT of weekend weddings all along the beach and motels fill up with wedding guests. So wish us luck in finding a vacancy for May that we like. Those we already checked by phone or internet are already booked. Very sad. We get to looking around at everyone's blogs. See if I can find something to put on here for this week. Ok, I don't have any cards that haven't been on here at one time or another. Am coloring images and no cards yet. But here is a wall hanging to be done. Sorry about the small glare, but it isn't covering anything important. Had a better one I wanted to put on here, but of course I can't find it at this time. I did, however, find the materia for it. LOL No matter where I put my cursor, the picture always goes to the top. very annoying! Have to take the time one of these days and see if I can figure it out.
I was up at 2:30 a.m. to post this and this morning at 11:00 a.m., I find it did not post. Whaaat? So hopefully here it is now. Sorry folks.

BE A WINNER
Check out Create with Joy blog and find out how to enter to win a fabulous book about creating gift baskets. You can find her listed on my right sidebar under My Favorit BlogsMy sorority chapter does gift baskets as a raffle and the earnings go to a worthy community organization. We have run out of ideas and I believe this book would be a great help to us. So if you are at all interested in gift baskets, I would run right over to her blog and read the rules of entry!

WOYWW - #96
Good morning everyone! I have been busy taking care of other projects so have not been participating on Wednesdays for awhile, BUT I have snooped around a little. I am sorry I did not leave comments for you though. Since the Festival (previous post) I have not done any cards, shame on me. Yesterday I pulled out a project that has been being worked on for about 20 years, yes 20. I really have to be in the mood, lol. Anyway I swear I am going to finish it in this lifetime. I am into the handquilting part and I am not great at it and am very slow. My girlfriend is doing cross stitch and wanted me to find something similar so we can spend a couple of hours a week just chatting about different things in our lives. So this is all put together as far as it can be until the quilting is done.
As soon as I laid it out on the table, my pretty Sassy claimed it. She thinks it is her new sleeping pad and has spent most of her time sleeping on it. I am having to redo the quilting pattern on it since it is worn off in spots. I can't believe any of it is still there after all these years and the many moves I have had. It is going to be a wall hanging when finished. Well I will be checking as many of you out over the next few days. Thanks for visiting me.

BACK AWHILE
Well not much going on these days. Lost my mojo and it is lurking here somewhere. Saturday my sorority chapter had a tent at the Parrish Heritage Days, so my time was spent on getting that all together. It was really small! I sold 7 cards. Also, made bracelets and sold 15. We had hoped for teenagers, but it was too lame an event for teenagers. So now we know. We had hoped to make enough to fill our coffers a little for our weekend getaway in May (to help pay otle rooms), and for our annual charity donation. Well the main thing was that all of us spent the day together having a good time and that is what sorority is all about. I have been stopping by most of your blogs, but have not really left any comments. Sorry!! It is pouring rain right now and we really needed it badly. If you stop by - thanks. Maybe I will try and remember to do WOYWW this week. There are so many participating it is hard to get to everyone and make comments and it takes me three days, how about you. Have a great week.
The above pic is my silly little girl Sassy. She is a Bobtail. Thinks she has found a new place for her naps. She was so surprised when she moved around a little too much and ended up on the floor at one point. The look on her cute little face was priceless. She just couldn't figure out how she was on the chair and then on the floor.

WOYWW-90
Oh heck! It is 10:10 a.m. and I forgot about my post for WOYWW again. So here I am trying to get it together, some what. I am still working on cards to sell at the end of March for the Parrish Heritage Day Festival. This is a very, very old small town in Florida and it is just 3 miles from my home. When I see some of your sites and the boxes of cards you have made it makes my pathetic attempt a big joke. Oh well, work with what you have and what you can do I guess. I am currently working on two birthday cards, they are not finished, still thinking about how I want to finish them off. I have two sorority sisters with birthdays, one on Feb. 27 and the other is Mar. 2. The cat is a Penny Black and the girls I believe are Stampin' Up stamps. I still have not mastered getting my pics to come up on my blog where I want them.
My grandson, who has returned from his latest deployment has e-mailed me that Lifetime TV came on board ship as they were returning and interviewed some of the crew and filmed the homecoming to their loved ones. They had just returned from a deployment and within about a month to 6 weeks were sent out again. Anyway the ship is the USS Harry S. Truman CVM75, an aircraft carrier and it is to be aired on March 6 at 10:00 p.m., Eastern time in the United States. So I am looking forward to watching it. My sorority chapter is in the final planning stages of our "Weekend Getaway" for May 20. We have decided to stay close to home because of the gas prices and only having three days. We do not want to spend all of our time on traveling, so we are just going about a 45 minute drive up the coast to Passa Grille (Enfys you should be familiar with this area, I think). We are staying at a small motel facing the Gulf and there are little shops and restaurants within walking distance. Then my girlfriend and I are hoping to book a cruise for 2012 and begin making payments on the booking so it is all paid by the time we board the ship. Who knows what will be happening by August 2012, but that is our plan. Well that is probably more than you wanted to know and so I will get off here and on to my day. Have a great week.

WHAT HAPPENED TO SPRING & SUMMER
Well my gosh, I did get a new header and background but I seem to have skipped Spring and Summer in doing so. I was just so happy to finally get a new one on here I have just left it for now, or maybe I will be lazy and leave it until Fall. Really I did not find one for Spring or Summer through these designs, so I don't know if there are none or I just didn't dig deep enough. Another beautiful day here in Florida.
Looking forward to our "Girls Weekend Getaway" for this year. We are in the planning stages and are about ready to make our reservations. Waaahooo!!
Off to do something, hope to see you tomorrow on WOYWW.

WHAT A MESS!
Tried changing my blog background, etc, but as you can see I got part on and the winter things are still there. I am stumped right now as to what went wrong. Will keep frustrating myself until I get it solved.

TAKING A BREAK
Hi friends! I am taking a break due to other things going on in my life right now. For instance a new little wrinkle. Yesterday while reviewing my checking account I found a Hold on it for $93.30 made on the 25th. WHAAAT?? Called the bank immediately and found that a charge had been made on my debit card for this amount at a jewelry store ( who can afford a jewelry store?) not me, in a small town between Rt. 19 and Rt. 75 in Florida. It is north of Tampa. Not roads I do any traveling, except on rare occasions and certainly not on the 25th. She finally transferred me and we went over it all again. Ascertaining that I had not lost my card, only had one card and I was holding it my hand at that time, no one has access but me, I may let one grandson go into buy cigs or gas, but I am there in the car. Card comes out of billfold, into store, back into billfold. Gosh he can't go into the store and walk 10 ft. without coming back out to say "what's your pin AGAIN". Well I know it isn't anyone I know. Then I was transferred to the Fraud Dept., etc., etc. They found it had been a signature buy, which means the person had to have a card AND sign. So they believe at this time someone has a phony card. So I am seriously rethinking about using my debit card once this is cleared up. This one was cancelled immediately by the Fraud Dept. and a new one being issued.
The only way someone could have gotten my card number - a restaurant worker, gas station, convenient store by swiping it or writing it down or keeping a carbon of the bill. So enough. It is so very sad to think there are so many people out there that haven't a care as to who they use. This may cause some financial problems for me and believe me I can create my own, I do not need any help. LOL So I am focused on this and a couple of other things right now. Keep yourselves safe and happy until I return.

WOYWW - 2011 - #83
Good morning to those of you in my part of the world and to those of you that are well into your day already, I hope you are having a great day. Well as you can see my table is a tad messed up today with my working on my grandson's Navy deployment pictures, from 2 yrs. ago. He just returned from 2nd. deployment and will be home on leave next week.
His brother is flying to Norfolk on Friday morning to spend a couple of days and will then drive back with him. On New Year's Eve as #2 grandson was riding his bike home from work in the wee hours of the morning his billfold popped out of his pocket (unknown at the time) and he has looked for it for a few days and no find. So since he now had NONE of the I.D.'s and no social security card we spent a lot of time trying to gather up the documents he needed to get them replaced. (what a totally and frustrating system we have to do this, it is all a Catch 22. If you don't have this you can't get your I.D./driver's license and if you don't have that you can't get a replacement social security card). We finally got it all together, we hoped and off we went yesterday to get it all done. What a mission! Tried to be first in line so we started out early and went to the closest office, WHAT THEY MOVED!! So off we go to the next office, changed opening hours, went to the next one not open yet either. Finally got one that was open and since we had not yet been to social security yet we could not get the I.D. So off we go now to SSA office, mind you we are driving in huge circles all over the county. Social Security Office is packed as usual. He sees how many people and says I'm going home and call and make an appointment for Thursday. I said,"oh no you aren't. We have been at this for 3 hrs. and we are doing it today. If you wait until Thursday and there is a problem you will not have time to straighten it out and fly out on Friday morning. Fortunately they were moving pretty fast and we only had to wait 20 minutes, it is usually about a 2 hr. wait for your turn. Ok we got the SS letter. Off we go to the DMV-Tax Collector Office (easier to get these things there then going to the actual DVM). So we go to the closest, ooops we have to go get his Dad to sign a proof of residency letter. Now back to one of the offices and it is packed by now. Waited about half an hour and got the I.D. Well no matter where you want to go in Florida you are never near it!!! And the number of stop lights is disgusting!! That is where all my gas goes. Well it only took us 6 hours to get this all done. If he ever loses again.........
Well if you made it through all of that thanks! Well now Friday I get to take him to Tamps International and I hate driving there. I always miss the proper turns and end up driving around the entire terminal(s) about 3 times before I get it right and the cars behind you don't care that you are freaking out, they are right on your rear end. So wish me luck! Well I guess that is enough ranting for the week.
If you want to see some other nifty work desks drop over to see the list of us having fun peeking at Julia's blog, http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/. I did make it to everyone last week, but as usual could not get a comment left on just a handful, it's word verification problems. Hope you all have a great week! And a big thank you to Spyder who explained how to resize her digi's!!!
